Women’s Committee of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Jigawa state chapter, has appealed to Jigawa state government to consider inclusion of more women in the state civil service.
The Chairperson of the committee, Comrade Salma Iliyasu, made the appeal when the Committee paid a courtesy visit to the Jigawa state Head of service on Monday, to introduce the new leadership.
She solicited for the of Jigawa State Government, in creating a synergy with the commitee, to enhance the productivity of female civil servants in the State.
In response, Alh. Muhammed Dagaceri, the Jigawa state head service, emphasized that women occupy key positions from the southern part of the country unlike in the north.
He thus reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the women’s committee, in achieving its objectives.
It would be recalled that the Women’s committee of the NLC was elected in September 2025 under the leadership of Comrade Salma Iliyasu.
