
The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has set a date for the final payment of 2027 Hajj fare for prospective pilgrims participating in the 2027 Hajj from Jigawa state.
Director-General of the Jigawa pilgrims welfaee Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, gave the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement directed pilgrims who had earlier deposited the initial ₦7.5 million, to pay an outstanding balance of ₦172,822 to complete their registration.
The total Hajj fare for 2027 according to the statement, stands at ₦7,672,822.
According to Labbo, the deadline for the completion of all payment had been fixed for September 18, 2026, urging pilgrims to meet the deadline, to avoid complications.
He also directed zonal officers of the board, to intensify sensitisation campaigns and ensure that all registered pilgrims were adequately informed and prepared for the exercise.
According to him, “The sensitisation efforts are particularly important ahead of the scheduled deadline for the departure pilgrimage.
The Director-General commended the officers of the board, for their cooperation and commitment towards ensuring smooth Hajj operations over the years.
Labbo however, expressed appreciation to the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, for supporting the board and pilgrims, through the provision of loans for Hajj seats.
He said the board would continue to work with relevant stakeholders to facilitate a successful and well-organised 2027 Hajj operation for pilgrims from the state.
