Participants at the All Progressives Congress (APC) high level meeting in Jigawa, have commended Governor Umar Namadi’s leadership style and his commitment to fairness and justice.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Hamisu Gumel said, the stakeholders gave the commendation during the party’s stakeholders meeting held in Dutse government House on Saturday.
According to the party members, Namadi has enhanced the party’s acceptance among the people of thestate with his style of leadership.
In his remarks, the host, Gov.Umar Namadi, reaffirmed commitment to the party’s unity and commended its growing strength and progress across the state.
He also expressed appreciation to party leaders and members, for their commitment to unity and collective progress.
Namadi further reassured the stakeholders that the APC under his leadership, remains an inclusive platform where no member would be sidelined, as the party continues to strengthen its structures at all levels.
The governor however, disclosed that Jigawa State currently ranks second nationwide in the APC membership revalidation exercise.
He said the achievement is commendable, urging all stakeholders to intensify mobilization efforts, to enable the state to secure a top position.
The report highlighted that discussions at the meeting, focused on critical party matters, including the ongoing revalidation of party membership and preparations for forthcoming party congresses.
The forum according to the report, also discussed strategies to further consolidate the APC’s presence and performance in Jigawa State.
The meeting, the report said, concluded with unanimous resolution by the stakeholders to work towards a peaceful and successful conduct of the forthcoming party congresses.
It was gathered that the high-level stakeholders’ meeting brought together key party officials, including senators, members of the House of Representatives, members of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, commissioners and other party leaders.
Some prominent political figures, notably former Governor Ali Sa’ad Birnin Kudu and former Deputy Governor Ibrahim Hadejia.
