2027: 1,500 APC support groups back Renewed Hope Network for Tinubu’s re-election

As Nigerians await the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to lift the ban on political campaigns, no fewer than 1,500 registered support groups of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have endorsed the Renewed Hope Network (TRN) as a platform to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

The endorsement was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the Deputy Director-General of the APC Support Groups Council, Dr. A.K. Peters.

Peters said the decision followed a strategic meeting with the technical team of the network led by a former Senior Special Assistant to the APC National Chairman on Civil Society and Support Groups, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, alongside Prof. Tunji John Asaolu.

He expressed confidence in the growing acceptance of the network across the country.

According to him, TRN, powered by a former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Sen. Abdulaziz Yari, is designed to drive grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Peters noted that the network had already commenced early mobilisation efforts, including the recruitment of polling unit canvassers nationwide.

He added that the move was aimed at laying a solid foundation for effective grassroots engagement ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential poll.

“The TRN is committed to building the most formidable grassroots political movement in support of the President within a short time, reaching every corner of the country.

“In APC, we have over 3,500 registered support groups, out of which 1,500 have already approved partnership with the Renewed Hope Network. We are confident that another 2,000 groups will join before Easter,” he said.

Peters further stated that the network had put in place comprehensive structures and strategies to ensure victory for Tinubu in 2027.

He emphasised that the leadership of Sen. Yari remained key to achieving effective grassroots mobilisation nationwide.

He also reiterated the council’s commitment to mobilising Nigerians towards ensuring Tinubu’s re-election and inauguration for a second term on May 29, 2027.
