Hajj 2026: Jigawa Begins Hajj Visa Processing in Two Days

Dutse, February 25, 2026

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that it will commence visa processing for the 2026 Hajj pilgrims within the next two days.

The Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, disclosed this while addressing journalists in his office on Thursday in Dutse.

He explained that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has concluded its arrangements and is set to begin issuing visas in phases, with the process currently at its final stage.

Labbo, who attended the inaugural meeting convened by the new Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Ismail Abba Yusuf, said the meeting introduced fresh guidelines aimed at enabling the commission and state boards to successfully carry out their responsibilities.

He emphasized that a valid medical clearance certificate remains mandatory for all intending pilgrims, noting that it is directly linked to visa approval.

The Director-General added that the meeting also deliberated extensively on key policy changes introduced by the Saudi authorities. He assured that the Board would intensify monitoring mechanisms and enforce strict disciplinary measures against any official found violating established regulations.
